Who is Katya Jones, how old is she and what is her background?
Katya Jones, 29, is a pro dancer who was born Ekaterina Andreevna Sokolova in St Petersburg, Russia, to a Korean mother and Russian businessman father.
She started dancing when she was just six years old and then formed a partnership with her fellow dancer – and now husband – Neil Jones in 2008.
Together they won the World Professional Latin Showdance Championships in 2015 – and they are also four times undefeated British National Professional Champions.
Then in 2016, they became the latest real-life Strictly couple to join the programme.
Speaking ahead of the 2016 series, the Russian dancer said: “I am so privileged to be joining Strictly Come Dancing.
“I know it is extremely intense, but so am I! I am fierce, fabulous, and would love to win!”
Ed Balls was Katya’s first partner and they had a good run, making it through to week ten thanks to their comedy performances before being eliminated.
In 2017 she was crowned the Strictly champion with dance partner and actor Joe McFadden.
Who is Katya Jones’ husband Neil?
Katya and Neil first dated in 2008 after a chance meeting in Blackpool and they have been dancing together ever since.
The pair, who married in 2013, won the 2015 World Professional Latin Showdance Championship.
They are also four times undefeated British National Professional Champions.

When did Seann Walsh kiss Strictly partner Katya Jones?
On October 6, 2018, Katya and her 2018 partner, stand-up comedian Seann Walsh, became the first couple of the 2018 series to be hit by the “Strictly curse.”
The pair were pictured kissing in the street outside a London pub while on a night out.
A witness said: “They were snogging like a pair of teenagers and didn’t seem to care who might see them.”
The pair took to Twitter to issue grovelling apologies to their respective partners.
Seann, who has been dating actress Rebecca Humphries for five years, offered his “sincere apologies” and called the incident a “one-off drunken mistake.”
Katya, who married husband Neil in 2013, said: “I love my husband and we are very happy together, this is not a reflection on our relationship.”
When is Strictly on BBC One?
Strictly Come Dancing is on this Saturday (October 20) at 6.45pm on BBC One.
The results show goes out the following day on Sunday evening at 7.45pm.
Judges Shirley Ballas, Bruno Tonioli, Craig Revel-Horwood, and Darcey Bussell have returned to the show for another year.
Claudia Winkleman replaced the late Sir Bruce Forsyth in 2014, joining Tess Daly as the presenting duo.
Strictly: It Takes Two, hosted by Zoe Ball, is on BBC every week day at 6.30pm, with an extended show starting at 6pm on Fridays.
